I knew I was in for creative fun when this client said she loves color, needs to feel like she's living in a "grown-up" home and not a dormitory, and wanted a happy atmosphere. As they have two dogs, it was also important to incorporate easily cleanable items. Avid readers, they requested increased lighting in their salon area. We replaced all the windows with trissim internally enclosed between two pieces of glass. This eliminated the triss boxes, often dust collectors. Additionally, the couch fabric, which is beautiful and comfortable, is particularly strong against damage from pets or people. We chose low profile geves/drywall ceiling lights for the functionality, clean, and stylish look. Due to their limited budget, we moved their piano between their bookcases and added a lovely piece of art. This opened up the entire space, making it much more welcoming. How fabulous is that artwork? Happy client, happy me. Scroll down for more images.
